Refunds, cancellations & chargebacks

ReserveDio is the booking platform; the business you booked with is the seller. This page explains how refunds work between you, the business, and us.

Who issues a refund

Every booking and ticket purchase on ReserveDio is a contract between you and the business (the seller) that runs the page. ReserveDio provides the booking and payment technology, but we do not sell the services, classes, events, or experiences themselves.

That means refund decisions belong to the business, according to the cancellation and refund terms they publish on their booking page. Before paying, review those terms carefully — they tell you whether a booking is refundable, up to what deadline, and whether any fee applies.

How to request a refund

  1. Find your booking confirmation email — it contains your booking reference and a link to your booking page.
  2. Contact the business directly using the details on their booking page or your confirmation email, and quote your booking reference.
  3. If the business approves the refund, they issue it through their connected payment provider (Razorpay or Stripe). The money returns to your original payment method.

If a business cancels a service, class, or event entirely, you are normally entitled to a full refund of what you paid for that booking. Contact the business first; if you cannot reach them, contact us and we will help.

Processing times

Once a business approves a refund, the payment provider typically processes it immediately, but the time for the money to appear back in your account depends on your bank or card issuer:

  • UPI and net-banking refunds: usually 1–5 business days.
  • Credit and debit card refunds: usually 5–10 business days.
  • International cards can occasionally take up to 14 business days.

ReserveDio does not hold customer payments. Refund timing is governed by the business's payment provider and your bank — we cannot make a bank move faster.

What is not refundable

  • No-shows: if you miss a booking without cancelling within the business's stated window, the business may treat the payment as earned.
  • Bookings explicitly sold as non-refundable on the booking page, where that was made clear before payment.
  • Partially used services (for example, leaving an event early) are refundable only at the business's discretion.

Platform or payment-processing fees may be non-refundable where the payment provider does not return them to the business. The business's terms will say if this applies.

Disputes and chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong or a refund was promised but never arrived, contact the business first and give them a reasonable chance to resolve it. If you still cannot resolve it, write to us via the contact page with your booking reference, and we will help mediate.

Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting the business can delay resolution and may result in your booking being cancelled. We always recommend contacting the business — or us — first.

For businesses using ReserveDio

You set and publish your own cancellation and refund terms. You are responsible for honouring them and for issuing refunds through your connected payment provider. ReserveDio may ask you to resolve a customer complaint where a clear commitment was made and not honoured.
